Set Up or Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Learn how to set up a new multi-factor authentication method using Microsoft Authenticator or SMS, and how to reset your existing MFA method if you change device.

Set Up MFA With Microsoft Authenticator

  1. Open the URL supplied by Access in your browser. The link will look similar to https://hosted.accesslegal.accessacloud.com/AAA_Company.

  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Next.

  3. Install Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device if you have not already done so. This is the default MFA method.

  4. Click Next on your desktop until the QR code appears.

  5. Open Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device, then tap the + icon in the top-right corner.

  6. Select Work or school account, then scan the QR code using your phone camera.

  7. Return to your desktop, then click Next.

  8. When prompted on your phone, enter the number shown on your desktop screen, then tap Yes.

  9. On your desktop, click Next, then click Done.

📌 Note: After setup is complete, you will be directed to your storefront so you can access your desktop as normal.

⚠️ Important: You should now receive an MFA notification when you sign in, unless you are connecting from a designated trusted IP address. If you receive an MFA notification when you are not signing in, select No, it's not me and report the incident to the Support desk.


Set Up MFA With SMS

  1. Open the URL supplied by Access in your browser. The link will look similar to https://hosted.accesslegal.accessacloud.com/AAA_Company.

  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Next.

  3. Click I want to setup a different method.

  4. Select Phone, then click Confirm.

  5. Select your country code, enter your phone number, then click Next.

  6. Open the SMS message you receive, then enter the code into the pop-up on your desktop.

  7. Click Next, then click Done.

⚠️ Important: You should now receive an SMS MFA code when you sign in, unless you are connecting from a designated trusted IP address. If you receive an SMS MFA code when you are not signing in, ignore it and report the incident to the Support desk. Never share this code with anyone if you are asked for it.


Reset Your MFA Method

⚠️ Important: You must still have access to your old device to complete these steps.

  1. Sign in to your account this link. You will be prompted for MFA during sign-in.

  2. After you sign in, expand My Account on the left-hand side, then click Security Info.

  3. Review your existing MFA methods on this page.

  4. Change your phone number if you use SMS and only need to update the number.

  5. Delete the Microsoft Authenticator entry if you use the app and need to move it to a new device.

  6. Follow the steps outlined above to set up your new MFA method again on your new device.
