Setting up the Smart Search integration

To set up the Smart Search Integration, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to DPSSQLConfig and load the program.

  2. When this has loaded, the Config. file window will appear. Select the Application tab at the bottom left of the screen.

  3. Select the Web Accounts tab to the bottom of the screen.

  4. Now select AML from the list to the left of the screen. The screen which will load is the preference screen.

  5. From the Individual ID/ AML Provider drop down, select SmartSearch.

  6. Click Apply.

  7. Select the SmartSearch Tab.

  8. Populate the fields as required:

    • Company Name - as provided to SmartSearch.

    • Username - The SmartSearch Username, which will normally be your email address.

    • Public Key - This will be provided by SmartSearch and is normally a long string of code. This will link the two applications together.

    • Use Demo Account - Leave the tick box empty.

  9. Once done you can press Apply at the bottom right.

  10. You will be asked to confirm the changes, click Yes.

  11. You can now close your config.


Ini file settings

The final part of the setup is to locate your .ini file by following the steps below:

  1. Right click on your DPSSQLConfig.

  2. Select Open File Location, this will open windows explorer and take you to the route of DPS.

  3. Type "ini" in the search bar.

  4. From the results, locate DPSSetup.ini and double click to open.

  5. Scroll down the text file until you find ‘[Modules]’and add the following to read ‘AML=1’. if there is already ‘AML=0’ there then change the 0 to a 1.

  6. Save and close the ini file.
