How to prevent web browser from storing passwords

To stop your web browser from storing passwords, please follow the instructions below:

Microsoft Edge

  • Open up Microsoft Edge.

  • Select the ellipsis (...) towards the top right of the browser.

  • Select Settings.

  • Select Privacy, search, and services.

  • Select Clear browsing data now (underneath the Clear browsing data heading).

  • Select Chose what to clear every time you close the browser.

  • Turn off the Passwords slider bar.

Google Chrome

  • Open up Google Chrome.

  • Select the vertical ellipsis (โ‹ฎ) towards the top right of the browser.

  • Select Settings.

  • Select Auto-fill.

  • Select Password Manager.

  • Turn off the Offer to save passwords slider bar.

  • Turn off the Auto Sign-In slider bar.
