Using the SmartSearch integration

Client Screen

If the SmartSearch Integration has been set up correctly, then when you load the Client Screen you should see the AML Check/ Integrated AML Check box.


Performing a Search

To perform a search using SmartSearch for a Client, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter the Client Screen.

  2. Ensure the Type drop down is Private.

  3. Click on Submit AML Check.

  4. A pop-up will ask you to confirm the check. Click Yes.

  5. Following this, a further screen will pop-up with the fields we will be sending via the integration to Smart Search. The information in this screen will be mapped from fields you have already completed on the Client Screen, as listed below:

    • Surname = Last Name (Client Tab)

    • Forename = First Name (Client Tab)

    • House Number = Address 1 (Client Tab)

    • Address Line 1 = Address 1 (Client Tab)

    • Town = Town (Client Tab)

    • Post Code = Post Code (Client Tab)

    • DOB = Date of Birth (Personal Tab)

    • Passport Details = Passport Number/ Country of Issue/ Expiry Date (ID Check Tab)

    • NI Number = N.I. Number (Personal Tab)

    • Driving Licence Number = Driving Licence Number (ID Check Tab)

  6. Click OK.

  7. Once submitted, the details will then be sent to SmartSearch for approval. If the search has passed, AML Search Result: PASS will be displayed. There will also be a change to the AML Check on the Client tab showing AML Check Passed.

  8. This in turn will produce a document in the Documents Tab on the Client Screen. Double click on the report to view the results. If the search result displays a Refer message, this means that more information is required for the search to pass. This can be a date of birth, NI Insurance No etc – SmartSearch provide a list of items that may be required for the search to Pass. The result will still be displayed in the Documents Tab on the Client Screen; however, the result area will display Refer rather than Pass.

  9. Once the client's information has been entered you can resubmit a search or request another by clicking the β€˜Submit AML Check button from the displayed AML Check (Individual Search - Smart Search) Box on the Client screen. Smartsearch will then check the client details and either return a "Pass" or "Refer" as described above. This can be completed as many times as you need to.
