Key updates and enhancements

We’re excited to introduce our latest update, v.16.1.2.1 from March 10, 2025, bringing key enhancements, fixes, and improvements to OneOffice and Financial Director.

Criminal Legal Aid fees update
We've implemented a separate Youth Court fee scheme with additional fees for serious cases, in line with the latest Criminal Legal Aid regulations. Additionally, we’ve introduced a travel fee for Police Station attendance at Destination police stations.

Billing guide enhancements

By popular demand, we’ve added:

  • A date range in Time Analysis for the Time Guide.

  • The ability to export Time Notes with Time entries for better costing visibility in Excel.

  • Time Notes now display within a single Excel cell for easier data extraction.

Bill templates – multiple pages

Bill templates now handle overflow across multiple pages while maintaining a running and carried-forward balance, ensuring long narratives are displayed clearly and professionally.

Lloyds Bank integration

Financial Director now supports Lloyds bank payment templates for BACS and CHAPS payments.

Important notice: Auto-bill numbering fix Users upgrading from version 16.1.2.0 should review their Auto-bill numbering due to a previously identified issue where sequential numbering was not correctly applied. This issue has now been resolved.

Upcoming release v.16.2.1.0

We are excited to announce key enhancements coming in our April release, designed to improve compliance, streamline operations, and enhance the user experience.

Case deletion and archiving: Manual override feature in OneOffice/Access Legal Case Management

We are introducing manual override functionality in the Case Deletion and Archiving module. This functionality allows users with the appropriate security profile to adjust case retention timelines to meet specific legal requirements.

  • Users can modify retention dates from within the case

  • A mandatory reason field ensures a full audit trail, capturing the change details, user, and timestamp.

  • Users can revert to the original retention settings at any time.

This was the final customer-requested enhancement for the case deletion and archiving module, ensuring greater control and compliance.

High-risk identification in OneOffice

We’re also introducing high-risk client identification to OneOffice for enhanced compliance and risk management.

  • A new Red/Green drop down field and Country field allow quick visual identification of high-risk clients.

  • Improved reporting capabilities provide better decision-making tools for high-risk cases.

ISO 20022 compliance in Financial Director

To ensure compliance with ISO 20022 standards, Financial Director will mandate Purpose Codes for UK CHAPS payments related to property starting May 1, 2025.

  • This update enhances payment processing efficiency and regulatory compliance.

  • Users will have the necessary tools for seamless financial management.

If you are currently subscribed to our existing tool, there is no action required on your part. We will automatically transition your subscription to the new tool. PII Spring renewal - what can we expect from our broker?

If your renewal is coming up soon—or even in autumn—you may have heard that insurers are offering rate discounts due to market overcapacity. While that sounds promising, there’s a catch when it comes to how brokers operate:

  • Large brokers are overwhelmed with business and struggling to manage it effectively.

  • Getting essential documents processed is becoming increasingly difficult.

  • Many firms won’t receive the attention they deserve during the renewal process.

  • As a result, firms often end up with whatever terms they’re given, with little room for negotiation.

Now is the time to consider working with an independent broker—one that truly partners with you throughout the year instead of just showing up at renewal time.

Why choose QPI?

At QPI, we prioritise Quality, Professionalism, and Integrity to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Direct, reliable access to your broker—you’ll always be able to connect with us.

  • A deep understanding of your business needs, ensuring tailored insurance solutions.

  • A proactive, year-round partnership, not just a once-a-year transaction.

  • Whole-of-market access—we work with the majority of solicitor insurers, leveraging key underwriting insights to secure the most competitive premiums.

  • Comprehensive commercial advice—helping firms navigate ongoing protection requirements and avoid compliance pitfalls.

  • A team of experts in risk management, complex claims, legal services, and underwriting—bringing valuable insight to every stage of your coverage.

Choosing QPI means choosing a broker who is truly invested in your success.
