This release restores reliable drag and drop of multiple emails and their attachments into case matters and resolves several defects. Legal case workers will be able to batch profile emails with confidence that every attachment is captured, correctly organised, and auditable.

By detecting attachments from any email in the selection, showing all attachments in a single, consolidated view, and saving them under the correct parent email with accurate metadata, this work eliminates data loss, misfiling, and overwritten subjects. It also reinstates duplicate detection, aligns drag and drop behaviour with the existing File\Attach emails menu option, and ensures no regression to previous bug fixes.

For customers, this means faster batch operations (from around five minutes down to under one minute), reduced rework, and a more predictable user experience. For Access, it reduces drag and drop–related support tickets by an estimated 40%, protects at‑risk accounts, and establishes a stronger regression test suite to prevent similar issues in future releases.

Key fixes and improvements

  • Reliable attachment detection: Attachments are detected from any email in the selection, not just the first one.

  • Complete attachment visibility: All attachments from all selected emails are displayed together in the Attachments tab before saving.

  • Correct file organisation: Attachments are saved under their correct parent email in file history, preserving the right parent–child relationships.

  • Metadata preservation: Original email subject lines and key metadata (such as sender, recipient, and dates) are preserved unless the user explicitly changes them.

  • Duplicate prevention: Duplicate emails are detected (by diary description) and surfaced with a warning so users can avoid cluttering file history.

  • Consistent behaviour: Drag and drop now behaves consistently with the existing File\Attach emails menu option, with no regressions to previously fixed bugs.
