Prerequisite
No issues with logging into the Citrix system
No pop-up error message upon logon mentioning "Error loading User Profile" or "Error mounting / loading VHD".
Restore Microsoft Office icons on your desktop
Click on the yellow File Explorer button found on the taskbar.
Right-click on the Start button found on the Taskbar.
Click on This PC button that is found on the right-hand side Panel.
Click (C:), then double click Program Files (x86).
Double click Microsoft Office then double click root.
Double click Office16 folder.
Once you have completed the above steps, please follow the steps below depending on the application needed.
Restore Outlook to the Desktop
Right-click the OUTLOOK application file.
Hover mouse over Send To.
Click on Desktop(Create a Shortcut).
The OUTLOOK Shortcut should now be created on the Desktop.
Restore Word to the Desktop
Right-click the WINWORD application file.
Hover mouse over Send To.
Click on Desktop(Create a Shortcut).
The Word Shortcut should now be created on the Desktop.
Restore Excel to the Desktop
Right-click the EXCEL application file.
Hover mouse over Send To.
Click on Desktop(Create a Shortcut).
The Excel Shortcut should now be created on the Desktop.
Once all required shortcuts are created on the Desktop you may have to rename them appropriately to 'Outlook', 'Word' and 'Excel' respectively as they may have different names. All should be done now. Please test whether or not these new icons work by double-clicking on them.
