Each financial posting transaction has a Unique Reference Number (URN).
The URN numbers run in numeric order and you deduct the lowest number from the highest number to get the number of transactions.
To find out how many posting transaction were made within a date range in DPS FD go to Reports, DPS Reports.
Under the nominal tab, select Unique References.
Tick 'Only Group Total' and tick 'Use Transaction Date'.
Enter your date range, click Run Report.
The report could run to thousands of pages, causing a message to display 'System out of memory exception' and DPS FD will close down. If this happens run the report for a shorter date range, say quarterly or a six month date range.
