If you're wanting to change the initials of a current user on DPS then you will need to create a new user via the DPSSQLConfig, please follow the below steps:
Note: NF1 and NR1 are just for demonstration. NF1 are the old initials and NR1 are the new initials.
Make sure that nobody is logged into DPS using the NF1 DPS user account.
Sign into DPSSQLConfig as a DPS Supervisor.
Navigate to Users and Groups then Users.
Open the NF1 DPS user account.
Make a note of all settings of all the tabs of the NF1 DPS user account (e.g. take screenshots).
Close the NF1 DPS user account.
Select Add... to create a new NR1 DPS User account, ensuring that you duplicate the settings from the NF1 DPS user account (apart from the login credentials of course).
Select OK.
Navigate to Advanced then Matter Management.
Ensure that the All Matters radio button is selected under the Move Matters To Different Branch or Fee Earner heading.
Select the From Branch drop-down and choose the branch NF1 is in.
Select the To Branch drop-down and choose the branch same branch NF1 is in for NR1.
Select NF1 from the Where Fee Earner is drop-down menu.
Select NR1 from the Where Fee Earner will be drop-down menu.
Select Transfer and wait for it to complete.
Navigate to Users and Groups then Users.
You can go back into the 'NF1' DPS user account and deselect the Is Active checkbox if you wish.
