Authorising an e-chit
When an e-Chit has been requested which meets the criteria for authorisation set in the config, it will require authorisation. To Authorise, follow the steps below:
Open FD
Go to User Tab and select Authorisations (Outlook Office users will be able to access the same screen by going to Add-ins β User β Authorisations)
Select any filter options (Group and User) and click Refresh
Select the e-chits you wish to authorise and click Authorise. This sends all requests to Admin Tasks/ Accounts for processing
Things to consider
If an e-chit requires level 2 authority, it must be authorised by a level 1 initially
A level 2 authority cannot be authorised by the same user who authorised the e-chit at level 1
When a level 2 e-chit has been authorised at level one it will disappear from the users list but still be viewable by others who have level 2 authorisation authority
Changes to admin tasks
With the e-chits authorised they will now appear within Admin Tasks to post to the system. Within Admin Tasks you are also able to see if there are e-chits pending authorisation (hyperlinked at the bottom right)
Once the E-Chit has been posted you will be able to see who authorised the entry by double clicking on the transaction to open up the double entry screen. The authoriser/authorisers initials will be viewable here
