Configuration of E-Chits

Turn on Authorisations

To turn on Authorisations, please follow the steps below:

  1. Within the Config go to Accounts, Authorisation Levels and tick the box next to Authorisation Required for e-Chits

  2. Under the Authorisations Needed column, untick any Posting Types where authorisation is not required

  3. Enter the values required for Authorisations in the greater than columns. An example below details the outcomes, and is based on the Greater Than (Level 1) field containing 50.00 and the Greater Than (Level 2) field containing 250.00

    • A request with a value of £49 needs no authority

    • A request with a value of up to £249 requires level 1 Access Level to Authorise

    • A request with a value of anything over £249 that requires level 2 Access Level to Authorise

  4. Once you have unticked/ ticked the Posting Types that require authorisations, and added the required values, Click Save

Setting up an Authorisor

To set up an Authorisor for E-Chits, please follow the steps below:

  1. Within the config, go to the Users and Groups Tab, then Security Profiles

  2. Select the Security Profile Name

  3. There are 2 Access Levels which will give certain security profiles authorisation levels:

    • For users to have authorisation level 1 tick Authorise E-Chit Requests - Level 1

    • For users to have authorisation level 2 tick Authorise E-Chit Requests - Level 2

    • You may wish for users who have level 2 to also have level 1 in which case tick both of the above. If a user only has level 2 they will not be able to authorise level 1 requests

  4. Your user will now be able to authorise e-chits for their departments. If you wish for an authoriser to view e-chits requested by other departments, they will also need the below access levels ticked:

    • View All Groups

    • View All Users in Group
