If you are set up with a Rate Scheme to Use Fee Earner Rates (including or excluding Fee Grade Rates) and would like to set Letters In to default to uncharged, please follow the steps below. If you are unsure which rate scheme your company uses please visit this article for more information.
Note: These steps require a supervisor profile to action.
From the DPSSQLConfig home screen click Rates.
Click Rate Tables.
Click New.
Complete the fields as appropriate, when reaching the last column DPS Zero Rated Items, click the drop-down box and tick Letter In.
Click Save.
From the DPS One Office home page, click File.
Click Matters.
Enter Matter Ref, then click Search.
Double-click on Matter.
Click the down arrow on Rate Category.
Select the new rate category.
Click Save.
Note: Once complete, Letters In will record 1 unit but they will be Zero Rated.
